Student of Shankar IAS Academy is the first Muslim woman from the state of Tamil Nadu to achieve the distinction.

Ajeetha was born and brought up in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. She hails from a very conservative family where all family members were illiterate and most of the girl children got married after school. However, she stood determined not to follow the usual path and went on to pursue her higher education after completing her graduation. Against all odds, with the support of her parents, she appeared in the UPSC Civil Services Examination and cracked it in her second attempt in 2007.

While training at the Police Academy she was the Best female athlete of the batch and she also won the Best Lady Outdoor Probationer Vandana Malik Trophy for dedication and hardwork during the Passing Out Parade.

Ajeetha has worked as ASP and Addl. SP in the state of Jammu & Kashmir. Post her marriage, she moved Kerala cadre where she has served as the S.P of Internal Security Investigation Team, CBCID, District Police Chief Thrissur rural, Deputy Commissioner of Police Trivandrum City, District Police Chief, Wayanad, Police training college Principal Trivandrum, District Police Chief Kollam rural, District Police Chief and Commissioner of Police Kollam city. She is currently serving as the Assistant Director at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy since 2018.

Mr Nivas was allotted Andhra Pradesh cadre. Having served as Joint Collector & Additional District Magistrate of Visakhapatnam, vice –chairperson and Managing Director of the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC), Special Programme Officer for Digital India-Land Records Modernisation Programme (DI-LRMP) scheme, he is currently serving as Commissioner of one of India’s prestigious municipal corporations - Vijayawada Municipal Corporation.

Nivas attaches high importance to the petitions submitted by the general public on the grievance redressal day and took great efforts to address the same. As the Commissioner of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation, his concept of ‘Develop Greenery - the need for greenery on the roadsides’ has been widely appreciated by the people of Vijayawada.

One of Kerala’s most well known and loved bureaucrats, Dr.Vasuki Kuppu IAS and Dr.Karthikeyan Sellappan IAS both are students of Shankar IAS Academy where they studied in 2007. Dr.Vasuki is a 2008 batch IAS and Dr.Karthikeyan happens to be a 2011 batch bureaucrat. The couple pursued their graduation in medicine in the prestigious Madras Medical Mission.

Being allotted Madhya Pradesh cadre, Dr.Vasuki later was transferred to Kerala after her marriage. An accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer, painter and singer, Dr.Vasuki is also an enthusiastic campaigner for environment. Kerala witnessed a green and waste-free swearing-in ceremony of the new government in 2016 when she was posted as Executive Director of Suchitwa Mission in Kerala.

Dr. Karthikeyan started his career as an Assistant Collector (Training) in Palakkad district. A native of Erode district in Tamil Nadu, he has served as the Sub Collector of Trivandrum, Commissioner of Housing Board, Director of State lottery and Director of Fisheries department. He is currently serving as the District Collector of Kollam.

The couple worked tirelessly for restoring the affected people and areas in the unprecedented flood in Kerala. Shankar IAS Academy is proud of such exemplary and dedicated students who are scaling heights as bureaucrats!

Having cleared the UPSC Civil Services Exam in his very first attempt, he was allotted Karnataka cadre. Having served as Deputy Secretary Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms, Assistant Commissioner of Kodagu, Chief Executive Officer of the Raichur Zilla Panchayat, Abiram is currently serving as the Deputy Commissioner of Mysuru City.

An avid bird watcher, Abhiram has documented bird species in all the places where he has been posted. He documents all his sightings and uploads pictures, sounds and other details on the species to a dedicated website - https://ebird.org/india/view/checklist/S41894723

A Biomedical Engineering graduate, Sudha opted for Forestry and Geology optionals. A gold medallist from Ignfa Dehradun (Indra Gandhi National Forest Academy), she served as Assistant Conservator of Forests at Ramanathapuram, Kallakurichi and Trichy, District Forest Officer of Tiruvannamalai. She is currently serving as Deputy Director at Arignar Anna Zoological Park (Vandalur Zoo).

She ideated and executed the development of mobile application as a Probationer - Plantation Made Easy - which received appreciations by Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change. Sudha also evolved a project called Tamilnadu Treepedia under Tamilnadu Innovative Initiatives Scheme for Tamilnadu Forest Department - It was received very well by people of Tamilnadu. At Vandalur Zoo, as Deputy Director, was instrumental in many e-initiatives like Online Ticketing, Live Streaming of Zoo animals, Vandalur zoo mobile Application. The Summer camp programme Zoo Ambassadors was one of its kind which received overwhelming response.

Amrith Pazhaniappan

Upon getting into service, Amrith was posted as Sub Collector in Pudukkottai district in Tamil Nadu. During that period, protests broke out in Neduvasal (Pudukottai district) over the contract allotted for development and extraction of hydrocarbons. Amrith was instrumental in exemplarily maintaining the volatile situation.

While posted in Madurai, Amrith was appointed as the Project Director (District Rural Development Agency). During his tenure, Madurai achieved the distinction of being declared open defecation free city.

He is currently posted as Project Director (District Rural Development Agency).
